Fashion Week is Coming to Town

During Central Virginia Fashion Week, which will take place Monday, Sept. 11 through Saturday, Sept. 16, local clothing businesses will debut their new merchandise, and two fashion shows will showcase the new fashions from local designers and local businesses.

Monday through Thursday, Central Virginia Fashion Week, or CVFW, will have free events showcasing the new clothing from local businesses such as Altavista’s Pretty (more…)

This month’s First Fridays events on Sept. 1 will include multiple art exhibitions, a salsa party and book signings with live music in and around downtown Lynchburg.

Protecting Our Protectors

The American Legion will be invaded by veterans on Saturday, April 29 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. There’s no battle occurring; though, the Lynchburg Area Veterans Council is planning to hold its first Community Lynchburg Spring Market.

The council hopes to engage the veterans in being an active part in the Lynchburg area. They also want to raise funds to better fulfil the veterans’ needs. All proceeds will go directly to serving the veterans in our community. (more…)

The skies were dark blue and gray. However, cars were lined up and down the lots.
People were chatting, taking in the beginnings of the Lynchstock Music Festival. It was the fifth anniversary of this event on April 22, 2017, and by the end of the day, the large event was forced inside the Glass House due to inclement weather. (more…)

Sunday, April 2 marked Opening Day for Major League Baseball with three contests in action. Even though spring training had been underway for some time, the start of the official season means a lot of things, the obvious being the return of a baseball fan’s favorite sport.
