Staff Writers must…
- Maintain a professional attitude and appearance, representing The Critograph with integrity in all public interactions.
- Produce at least one story per week.

- Write clear, concise, and polished stories following Associated Press (AP) style guidelines.
- Communicate confidently and skillfully both in writing and verbally.
- Collaborate well and build positive relationships.
- Continuously develop strong investigative journalism skills.
Qualifications:
- Must be a full-time student at the University of Lynchburg.
- Maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA
- Cannot hold leadership roles in other university organizations (e.g., SGA, SAB).
- Strong writing and storytelling skills.
- Ability to conduct interviews and gather information effectively.

Social Media Manager
Social Media Manager must…
- Develop and execute a social media strategy aligned with The Critograph’s goals and campus culture.
- Create, schedule, and publish engaging content consistently across platforms like Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and TikTok.
- Collaborate with staff to promote stories and events effectively.
- Monitor social media trends and analytics to optimize reach and engagement.
- Stay informed about campus events, issues, and student interests to keep content relevant.
- Attend weekly staff meetings.
- Uphold the newspaper’s values of integrity, professionalism, and inclusivity in all online interactions.
Qualifications:
- Must be a full-time student at the University of Lynchburg.
- Maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA

Multimedia Editor
Multimedia Editor must…
- Attend campus events to capture photos, videos, and other multimedia content that support news stories and features.
- Produce and edit multimedia content
- Support and collaborate with social media manager
- Collaborate with staff to integrate multimedia elements seamlessly into stories.
- Ensure all multimedia content complies with journalistic ethics and copyright guidelines.
- Attend weekly editorial meetings to align multimedia projects with editorial goals.
- Consistently deliver polished multimedia content on deadline.

Qualifications:
- Must be a full-time student at University of Lynchburg.

Managing Editor
Managing Editor must…
- Edit and proofread articles for grammar, clarity, accuracy, and adherence to style guidelines (AP style).
- Ensure consistency in tone and quality across all content.
- Work closely with reporters and editors to provide constructive feedback and improve stories.
- Assist in fact-checking and verifying information.
- Support the Editor-in-Chief in preparing content for publication.
- Attend weekly staff meetings.
- Uphold the newspaper’s standards of integrity, professionalism, and inclusivity.
- Assist with training new writers on editorial expectations and style.
Qualifications:

Podcaster
Podcasters must…
- Plan and develop a podcast relevant to the campus community.
- Research and script engaging, informative content.
- Record high-quality audio interviews, discussions, and segments.
- Produce and edit your own podcast episodes using audio editing software.
- Publish episodes consistently.
- Ensure all content adheres to journalistic ethics and copyright guidelines.
- Attend weekly staff meetings.
Qualifications:
- Must be a full-time student at the University of Lynchburg.
- Maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA

- Self-starter with the ability to manage all aspects of podcast production independently.
- Experience or interest in audio production and storytelling preferred.
- Proficient with audio recording and editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Audacity).
- Strong communication and interviewing skills.
- Creative, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
- Available to commit to 8-10 hours per week
