As midterm break approaches, anticipation is building among students across campus. Fall break, scheduled from Oct. 10 to Oct. 13, offers some students a chance to rest and relax, but for others, it is a chance to give back to their community.

Dylan Glascock, a sophomore environmental science major, said, “I plan to go to the Carolinas to help with hurricane relief.”

While some students may have volunteer plans for the break, others would be okay with changing the pace from midterm exams and studying.

First-year nursing student Melanie Keefer said her semester has been stressful, but she is ready for a much-deserved break.

“I am looking forward to seeing my family and friends back home,” said Keefer, who will also be celebrating her birthday during the break.

Junior Anna Josephine from South Carolina said, “I’m ready to have a rejuvenation break.”

Despite differing plans for the fall break, University of Lynchburg students are excited for a few days away from the hustle and bustle of campus life.

“I’m looking for rest,” said sophomore Lucas Cezar.

After fall break, students can look forward to Homecoming and Family Weekend. For more information on activities planned for the weekend, visit Homecoming and Family Weekend
