On campus today, Feb. 14, the Student Activity Board is hosting a Valentine’s Day buffet from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. The buffet is made of Valentine’s Day candy; you are welcome to eat as much as you can handle. The event will take place on the third floor in Drysdale Student Center. There will also be an opportunity to takes pictures, choose and stuff your own stuffed animal, as well as pick out some roses for yourself or that special someone.

In addition, there will be a Valentine’s Day movie – When We First Met – tonight at 6 p.m. in the Hornet Hive. There will be snacks provided. Tomorrow, Feb. 15, there will be a Valentine’s party in the Westover Room from 9 p.m. until 12 a.m.

Brewed by the Muse is also offering Valentine’s Day inspired drinks. These festive creations include Lucy Love, a raspberry vanilla latte; Single Ladies, a praline mocha latte; Chai Love You, a raspberry chai latte; Dolce Amor, a raspberry and blackberry Italian soda and Chocolate Box, a salted caramel mocha latte. These beverages will be offered while supplies last.

The Lynchburg Humane Society is also celebrating Valentine’s Day by offering an adoption fee of $14 for any cat or dog that is adopted during this week.

If you are not interested in Valentine’s themed activities, there will and Anti-Valentine’s Clay party at the Academy Center of the Arts. If you choose to participate the cost is $20, and there is also an opportunity for those of age to buy wine as well.
