Welcome back to the Hive! Whether you are returning for another year at our beloved University of Lynchburg or this is your first year on campus, we are so thrilled you are here.

The Critograph has always been this university’s student voice, where we share the stories that matter, spark discussions, and keep our community informed. This year, we look forward to continuing this tradition while embracing new ideas, diverse perspectives, and innovative approaches to storytelling.

Every member of our community has a unique story to tell, and we encourage you to get involved as writers, photographers, social media managers, and even readers. The newsroom is currently hiring its 2024-2025 staff. Please consider applying if you want hands-on experience in digital media management and storytelling and contribute to our dynamic team.

In these first few days back on campus, the energy across our community is electric as we embrace our new normal. As we get used to the changes across campus, our newsroom has also moved to Schewel 370. While we might be in a new space, your insights, feedback, and contributions remain invaluable. Please stop by for a visit on production nights, Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m.

As we embrace President Alison Morrison Shetlar’s pillars of people, place, passion, and purpose, we hope you will see yourselves in our storytelling this year.  We invite you to share story ideas and feedback, write guest articles, and, join our staff.

Keep your eyes peeled for updates; our first issue will be published soon.

Cheers to a safe and successful school year with impactful storytelling, meaningful dialogue, and memorable moments!
