Lynchburg VA – April 15, 2019 – University of Lynchburg Public Relations Student Society of America honors President Garren’s contributions during his time as University President.

Recently, President Garren announced that his reign as University President would be coming to an end after the 2019-2020 school year. After hearing his retirement announcement, members of the Lynchburg PRSSA decided to honor President Garren and his dedication to the university over the past 19 years.

Four PRSSA students visited Garren in his office on behalf of the organization to present him with a gift of appreciation. “President Garren has been a vital part of the Lynchburg community for the past two decades, and without him our institution would not be as successful as it is today,” said PRSSA President Dominic Butler.

The students of PRSSA presented Garren with a framed print featuring the map of the City of Lynchburg, as well as his years of service.

The Public Relations Student Society of America is a professional organization that connects students with Public Relations professionals, internship opportunities, and allows them to build relationships with students obtaining similar career goals.
