The Lynchstock Music Festival will be held downtown on October 20 from 11:00 A.M. to 11:00 P.M.

Co-founder and Director of Lynchstock Music Festival, Jonathan Smalt, said, “This is our 6th year doing the Lynchstock Music Festival. We started the festival 6 years ago now because there were really no venues in town for local bands to play, especially with a festival vibe. The first event we ever did started with 200 people and grew to almost 5,000. It has been an amazing journey to watch.”

Smalt added, “The event is located at Riverfront Park in Downtown Lynchburg. We usually have between 3,000-4,000 people attend the event.”

The Academy Center of the Arts is presenting Lynchstock Music Festival this year. According to the Lynchstock website, “The Academy Center of the Arts is excited to produce this year’s Lynchstock Music and Arts Festival.

As the Academy strives to serve our community through arts and culture, this unique event provides Lynchburg a premier music and arts festival.”

Also from the Academy Center of the Arts website, “Lynchstock Music Festival is a rain or shine event. We hope for a perfect, sunny day. If this happens, then bring your blanket. If not, bring your poncho. The music and art will go on, either way!”
