“The purpose of Central Virginia Fashion Week 2017 is to promote and generate awareness of locally owned retail stores and boutique shops in the Central Virginia area, as well as highlighting the local talent in our area, including models and emerging fashion designers,” said Victoria Watts, the founder and executive director of Let’s Talk Fashion Virginia, which produces CVFW.

The first CVFW event will be the Grand Opening Celebration at the Pretty Please on Broad Boutique in Altavista on Monday, Sept. 11 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. The boutique offers clothing with “New Orleans French flair,” according to the CVFW website.

On Tuesday, Sept. 12, Western Ways in Forest will premiere their new collections of equestrian clothing and western clothing from 7 to 9 p.m.

CVFW will then head to Lynchburg for its next event at Live Trendy or Die. On Wednesday, Sept. 13, the store will have an “exclusive fashion showcase” from 7 to 9:30 p.m., according to the CVFW website. Live Trendy or Die offers bohemian-style clothing as well as jewelry and other products from 10 local artisans.
