The University of Lynchburg chapter of Delight Ministries, a women’s Christian worship group, is hosting a fellowship event on Saturday, April 15, at 1 p.m..

According to senior Community Event Coordinator Sarah McCollum, “We have these events to provide community outside of our Bible study, so that girls can get to know each other and hang out, whether worship and devotionals are involved or not.”

This will be Delight’s first community event of the semester, and is intended to be a time where attendees can interact and express themselves through creative activities.

McCollum says the event will resemble a “picnic aesthetic,” and all necessary supplies and snacks will be provided.

“All you need to bring is good energy and be ready for good times,” says senior Worship Leader Kim Sheldon.

Women who have never attended a Delight meeting are also welcome to attend, as the event is intended to be an opportunity to bond with other women involved in the club.

If attendees are new, they are encouraged to speak with one of the group’s leaders at the event to learn more about what Delight Ministries at the University of Lynchburg is about.

The community event will be completely free to attend, and women are encouraged to bring friends.

The event will include blankets, snacks, arts and crafts, games, and is expected to be about an hour long.

Weather permitting, the event will be held outdoors and off campus.

The location of the event has not yet been finalized, but updates will be posted to @delight_lynchburg on Instagram as soon as possible.
