The much anticipated musical adaptation of “Mean Girls” has finally hit theaters, and very much lived up to expectations.
The movie is an adaptation of the 2004 “Mean Girls”, yet with the addition of the broadway songs and performances that added a lot to the story.
Additionally, the casting of each of the characters was absolutely incredible, with Renee Rapp playing the iconic Regina George and actors who had previously appeared in these roles, such as Tina Fey.
What was most rewarding as a viewer was to see the dance routines that they had come up with which were very unique to each of the songs.
The movie did provoke several controversies online, from the casting to the songs seeming to be autotuned.
However, after watching the movie, it was fairly easy to overcome these preconceptions.
This movie is heavily recommended for anyone, even if you do not enjoy musicals, it has something for everyone.

“Anyone But You” premiered at the very end of 2023, and was possibly one of the funniest and romantic movies I have seen.
The movie starred Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell through a modern retelling of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing, and captured all of the emotions Shakespeare had intended.
The movie took place in Sydney, Australia, which was a wonderful setting for a story like this, being right next to the ocean as well as very rich in nature.
The setting combined with the acting from the cast just created a story so phenomenal that it was hard to look away.
While still being a standalone project, for those who are familiar with Shakespeare, it was easy to spot the many similarities between the movie and the original play.
Regardless of your likes and dislikes for movies, this romantic comedy, while living up to the stereotypes, was exceptionally well done.
