Beach Holiday

Thanksgiving is my favorite time of the year, regardless of how I spend it.

Oftentimes it is not too hot or too cold, and the actual holiday is the perfect excuse to eat whatever I want, as much as I want, without feeling any sort of judgment.

This year, however, my family and I spent the holiday in Largo, Florida with my grandmother.

A vacation like this was quite amazing, and genuinely relaxing.

The first day there was a shopping trip, getting new clothes and things for the beach, and just spending time with one another.

Tuesday was the day we went to the beach.

It was a nice hot day, although this did not at all heat the water up, which did not kill the vibe at all.

It was wonderful to stare out into the crystal clear water and not have to worry about any responsibilities, even if it didn’t last.

Wednesday it rained, which allowed me to go to the movies, which is my favorite pastime.

I watched Hunger Games:Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, which was a lovely movie that had me on the edge of my seat.

On Thanksgiving Day, we had made reservations at a restaurant in Clearwater, which was much less nerve racking than a traditional holiday meal.

After we went home and relaxed, my family watched the Dallas football game as I read.

The holiday, for me, allowed me to destress and collect myself for finals week.

It was more about being in the moment, rather than worrying about the several anxiety causing assignments that are coming up.

Regardless of how the holiday is spent, the biggest need is to spend the time with my family.
